December 2008 - SOPHIA (my car) turned 4, and my LiveJournal turned 5! It's hard to believe I've been on this site for over half a decade now. I still remember my first post.
Late April 2009 - Been living in Houston for a year.
June 2009 - My youngest sister turned 13 the other day, which means all my siblings are now teenagers. Also been playing FFXI a year... though not exactly, since a month could effectively be subtracted just for Hurricane Ike.
July 2009 - I will have been on planet Earth 29 years. Go me! I've tried not to think too much about being 30 soon... but it is an impending reality. It's time to accomplish some more things before that milestone. |

Greetings, e-folk. Much to the chagrin of the forces of evil, I am alive and well! And yes- I am, in fact, now residing in Houston, TX.
I've been here for just over a week... though Comcast could not be bothered to come and hook up my internet until Tuesday. Not to mention I had to wrangle it out with tech support as well, since the cable and digital voice worked fine from moment one, but THE INTERNET did not (which, of course, was what I REALLY wanted). Haha... typical. Being without internet and e-mail for over a week does make one feel rather deprived.
Well, here I am, and thus begins a fresh start. My new apartment is a townhouse- it's very nice, and even has a pool and fitness center. So, I have that going. Plus, it will be exponentially easier to find jobs now that I have internet again. Last, but certainly not least, I'll have to make some friends here. I've met a few people, but hopefully, I'll be able to forge friendships through Lakewood, or local clubs & activities. Plus, I only live 2-3 hours from the Romhouse now, so once I learn my way around, I can hang with them (when it's ok). :D
I also picked up Mario Kart Wii a couple of days ago, since I reserved a copy when I still lived in Nashville. I'll post my friend code when I've had a chance to play it more. It's not bad, except for Battle Mode. The way they set up Battle Mode pisses me off. >:( |

There is a good chance I'll be moving to Houston, TX at the end of April. My rental agreement where I'm living ends this month, so I will have to move to a new place no matter what.
If you have any thoughts on the matter, please feel free to post them. I'll initially screen comments- just let me know if you'd rather have your thoughts stay private for whatever reason. |

I'm going on a trip to Houston, TX today after I get off of work. It's unlikely I'll be able to play Brawl online there, but I'm going to take the Wii and unlock more stuff.
